Bobcats Fall at the Hands Of Utah Jazz

Al Jefferson is very different from Dwight Howard.  If you’re a 19 year old rookie, do you know how to defend both?  What if I told you one was coming Tuesday and the next Wednesday?  Yeah, I’d poop my pants if defending those guys is what my job was.  Bismack Biyombo sort of, well if he came out of his shell last night, he went back to make sure it was still there before throwing it off for good tonight.  He fouled out with a minute left in the game, scoring 2 points, 9 rebounds, 0 blocks and 5 turnovers.  He figured out Dwight Howard, however, Al Jefferson, and his bag of below the basket tricks, still mystify the rookie.

Jefferson had 31, Paul Milsap 16 and Derrick Favors 14 off the bench, so their bigs did pretty well.  It seemed like the Jazz could do whatever they wanted around the basket.  43 rebounds to the Bobcats 34.  Offensive rebounds went their way as well, 16-9.

I don’t know if this is the beginning of another streak of losses for the Bobcats.  The Jazz just outplayed Charlotte on a second night of a back-to-back after a game of a massive comeback against a good team.  The young team we’re seeing develop (I hope development is what last night’s win was) is just tired.

The Jazz got to .500 on the season with the win.  This was a big ol’ “who cares” game for me, to be completely honest.  I’m glad the Bobcats came back to close the deficit to 6, where it ended up but I didn’t expect to go out on a win streak after last night.  Congrats to the Jazz, a young team on the winning end of another one of those “superstar wants out” trades.
