Bobcats Coaching Search: All signs point to Shaw

Jerry Sloan has pulled himself out of the Charlotte Bobcats coaching search.

He told his story on SI.com, and here’s a great gem I pulled out of it.

“While Sloan met with Bobcats owner Michael Jordan about the job May 25, a source close to the situation said Shaw met with Jordan on Thursday and that the meeting was “excellent.”

I posted a story earlier outlining how Charlotte trying to trade for James Harden meant they were leaning towards offering Shaw the job; Harden looks like the perfect go-to-guy for the triangle, the offense that Shaw will install wherever he goes.

I’m not sure how Quin Snyder made it this far in the process, but, since Sloan is no longer in the running, the job has pretty much been handed to Shaw.
