Hmm. Well the only cards I was looking at were basic topps rookie cards. I can't believe there's that large of a market for Bobcats basketball cards, but you're the expert so I'll take you at your word.

my point is that there are not many regular rookie cards of any player that are worth much. jordan fleer 86 would be the only really valuable rookie cards. most rookie cards of any player can be had for a few dollars. even lebron.

I am a good person to ask about this subject. I am a Basketball card collector and my personal Collection is Bobcats. Ill start buy saying, you are not looking in the right places appaerntly. Gerald Henderson has card which go for as much as $150. Yes, no one wants Morrison or May, so Their cards don't sell. Kemba has a McDonalds all american (2 base cards and 1 auto). The autos were selling for $129 last season. Now they sell for antwhere between $40-80. Bismack also has two base cards and 2 autos from last years UD SP Set. The autos sell from $20-80. D.J. varies between cards. I have a bunch of his cards that can sell from $2-$100. I missed out on one that I bid $150 on to be safe. There is a D.J. supercollector in Austalia I was battleing. Tyrus Thomas' Exquisite Auto/patch /99 was one valued at $1000. Now it sells for $80-150. Although there is a smaller market, there is still worse players and teams who have very little collectability such as Memphis, Toronto, and if it wasn't for Yao Ming and the love from Asia, Houston. Believe it or not, I run into more Bobcat collectors, than most average teams in the collecting world. Usually when collecting something, its the less current collections which are more valuable in the future. They make 1000's of Kobe and Lebron cards, they don't make nearly as many for Henderson and others. If you think bout it that way. Lastly, They now serialize some cards to go along with autos and jersey or patches which can be very few. So even a not so good player can have a card with only 1 made and it will fetch a decent amount. The only players who hold very high value are Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, Durant, Rose and other Hall of Famers. Hope this helps. I have a ton of more info if you have any questions. Also, im 33, not some kid. I invest in cards and its actually very profitable. Thanks.
