Carl Landry finally made his decision, but a move to the Queen City wasn’t in the works.
According to the NBA on ESPN, Landry and the Warriors reached a 2 year agreement.
The report on ESPN says: “The two-year deal is worth an estimated $8 million, with Landry possessing a player option for the second season.”
Landry averaged 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds a game last year.
With Landry off the market, it looks like Charlotte will go into next year with a roster that looks a lot like the one they have now.
A preliminary rotation (starter, backup) probably looks like this:
Kemba Walker, Ramon Sessions PG
Gerald Henderson, Ben Gordon SG
Michael Kidd Gilchrist, Jeffrey Taylor SF
Byron Mullens, Tyrus Thomas PF
Brendan Haywood, Bismack Biyombo C
It would’ve been nice for Charlotte to fill out their starting lineup with a proven power forward, but they did manage to upgrade at every other position, so all in all, the Bobcats had a solid off season (which I will grade tomorrow morning).
