Yeah. That was, uh, something… I guess. The Oklahoma City Thunder just destroyed the Charlotte Bobcats 114-69.
All you really need to know to understand just how bad the Bobcats were tonight is this: No starter had a +/- better than -31.
Kemba Walker shot 0-6 and scored 2 points.
Ramon Sessions had seven points on nine shots.
Gana Diop played 19 minutes and led the team in rebounding with nine boards.
It was that bad.
Oh. How in the world could I forget to mention this awesome fact: Jeffrey Taylor, who shot four-of-seven, led the Bobcats in scoring with 10 points.
As a team Charlotte didn’t really do anything well.
They did turn the ball over just 11 times and shoot 77 percent from the free-throw line.
But they got murdered on the glass, destroyed in head-to-head shooting percentage and couldn’t hit or defend a three pointer to save their lives.
Ha. I almost forgot another awesomely terrifying fact from this game.
The Thunder outscored the Bobcats 28-24 in the first half. No, wait. The Thunder scored 28 points in the first quarter, and the ‘Cats scored 24 in the entire first half. OKC’s first quarter outscored the Bobcats first half.
That’s not even the craziest stat of the game (to me).
No Oklahoma City player scored more than 18 points, and only two scored more than 13.
Luckily (or not, maybe) the ‘Cats will be back on the court the day after tomorrow against the Atlanta Hawks.
