The Charlotte Bobcats will look to stop their three game losing streak when the Portland Trailblazers come to town Monday night.
The Blazers have lost four of their past five games, but are coming off an overtime win against Cleveland on Saturday.
Portland is led by a familiar face in Lamarcus Aldridge, who is averaging 20 points and more than seven-and-a-half boards per game. They’re also led by a new face; Damien Lillard has taken the league by storm as he’s averaged 18 points and six assists per game.
For the Bobcats, Gerald Henderson should be back in the lineup after a few weeks out due to injury.
If he comes back, that would take a little of the load of rookie Jeff Taylor, who’s played well in Hendo’s absence.
Charlotte’s other rookie, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, is averaging just under 11 points to go along with six rebounds per game.
The game will either be won or lost on defense and the glass by Charlotte; The’ Cats are 13th in the league in rebounds, but just 21st in scoring. The Blazers are 14th in the league in scoring, but just 28th in rebounding.
If the Bobcats can keep Portland off the boards, and keep them to a low shooting percentage, they should get back to their winning ways.
