The Charlotte Bobcats played well, but not well enough to get a win in Miami.

Despite Charlotte’s bench outscoring the Heat’s bench by 30, and although the ‘Cats outrebounded Miami and held them to below 10 percent from behind the free-throw line, LeBron James and Co. won 99-94.

James scored 31 points to go along with eight rebounds and eight assists. He only missed one shot.

Chris Bosh also played well. He scored 23 points on better than 50 percent shooting, and grabbed four rebounds.

For the Bobcats, Ramon Sessions kept his teammates in the game, scoring 18 points on just nine shots. He was a perfect 10-10 from the charity stripe.

Ben Gordon dropped 16 points and Gerald Henderson went for 12 points and seven rebounds. Other than that, not many ‘Cats played well.

Kemba Walker got four early fouls and played just 22 minutes, Jeff Taylor scored 10 points on four-of-eight shooting, and Jeff Adrien played 15 strong minutes with 8 points and three rebounds.

Byron Mullens picked up where he left off, hacking 14 shots at the rim and coming up with 12 points. He did grab nine rebounds in 28 minutes, though.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist did not play after suffering a concussion against the Rockets and spending the night in the hospital.

Tyrus Thomas and Hakim Warrick didn’t see the floor either, presumably to make room for Seven-feet-of-I’m-gonna-build-you-a-house-with-all-these-bricks.

The ‘Cats next game comes Wednesday at Cleveland.
