According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, the Charlotte Bobcats have acquired forward Josh McRoberts from the Orlando Magic in exhchange for Hakim Warrick.

Warrick was acquired by the Bobcats from the New Orleans Hornets last year in exchange for Matt Carroll. Warrick started 14 games for the Bobcats and played 27 games. This is Warrick’s third different team this season.

With the return of Byron Mullens, and Jeff Adrien starting to get more time in the rotation, Warrick was the odd man out. He makes $4M this season and has a team option for 2013-14 for the same amount.

McRoberts played 41 games for Orlando this season and is an expiring contract at a little over three million. The deal saves the Bobcats money immediately. McRoberts has played six seasons in the NBA, after stops in Portland, Indiana, Los Angeles and Orlando.
