The Miami Heat are on a role the likes of which the NBA hasn’t seen in a very long time.
LeBron James is on a role the likes of which NBA fans haven’t seen since, well, last year when he won the MVP. But still.
Dwayne Wade would be in the MVP discussion if James wasn’t his teammate the way he’s been playing.
The Charlotte Bobcats are… Well… Um…
They’re 2-1 in their last three games.
Gerald Henderson is playing his best basketball of the season, Jannero Pargo is playing well off the bench, and Josh McRoberts is rebounding the basketball quite well right now.
Ok. There’s no positive way to spin this for the ‘Cats.
They’re running into a buzz-saw.
The terrifying thing about this whole situation is the buzz-saw is self aware. The Heat are talking amongst themselves about their streak. They’re talking about breaking it. They’re not afraid of the Gods of superstition.
Eric Spoelstra’s squad has won games during this streak in every way imaginable. They’ve blown teams out, finished close games in the fourth quarter, and even come back from 20+ points down to beat the Cleveland Cavs.
But, hey. It’s March. The Madness is upon us. This is Kemba Walker’s favorite time of year.
Can THE college basketball state’s only NBA team channel some of that magic and score the biggest upset of the pro-ball season?
