Timberwolves Could Target Bobcats Pick

The Minnesota Timberwolves are interested in moving up in this month’s draft to get Victor Oladipo, according to an ESPN report. So far Oladipo has declined to workout with the Timberwolves, because his representatives need reason to believe they can move to acquire a top-4 pick.

The Charlotte Bobcats are presumably a target for Oladipo with the fourth pick overall, which could bring trade discussions with the Timberwolves. There likely wouldn’t be an available player that the Bobcats would contemplate dealing the fourth pick to Minnesota for. So moving down would probably require some type of compensation in the future.

Regardless, I don’t see the Bobcats moving down or trading out the draft unless they can get a player who will improve the team immediately.
