The Charlotte Bobcats have waived Patrick O’Bryant, according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer. 15 players remain on the team’s roster and just 13 have guaranteed contracts.
Jeff Adrien and James Southerland are the two players with unguaranteed deals; the former was with the Bobcats last season.
O’Bryant, 27, was the ninth pick in 2006 by the Golden State Warriors, when Bobcats president Rod Higgins was the team’s general manager. He played for the Warriors, Boston Celtics, and the Toronto Raptors in his last NBA appearance in 2010.
O’Bryant played only six minutes in preseason with the Bobcats.
