Kemba Walker suffered a left shoulder injury in the third quarter of the Charlotte Bobcats game against the New York Knicks Tuesday night.
Walker was being guarded by Metta World Peace, and banged his left shoulder awkwardly into World Peace. Walker was in a great deal of pain by the Bobcats bench and time had to be called to get him to the locker room.
Walker was having a fantastic night in his return to Madison Square Garden. He was leading all scorers with 20 points on 8-13 shooting with 5 assists.
Update: Walker returned to the Bobcats bench at the end of the third quarter. Sports South’s Stephanie Ready reports Walker has a shoulder contusion and x-rays were negative. He returned to the game with 10:30 left in the 4th quarter.
