The Charlotte Bobcats and New York Knicks will face each other Friday for the second time this week, this time at Time Warner Cable Arena. The Bobcats are undefeated at home so far in two games.
The Bobcats squeaked out a 102-97 victory over New York in Madison Square Garden Tuesday behind Kemba Walker’s 26 points.
The Knicks will again be without former defensive player of the year Tyson Chandler. Chandler suffered a leg injury in the first quarter of Tuesday’s game, which will sideline him for several weeks.
Chandler’s absence proved to be difference in the Bobcats rebounding advantage. The Knicks don’t have a big body that can defend and rebound with the impact of Chandler.
The Bobcats will also be without starting center Al Jefferson for the fifth consecutive game. Jefferson suffered a setback in the team’s season debut a week ago and was not present in shootaround Friday morning. Bismack Biyombo will continue to start in his place.
