Jefferson Leads Cats Past Nuggets in Denver

Al Jefferson is an All-Star.  Whether he gets selected this season or not, this man has convinced me that he belongs in that select group of elite players.  Wednesday night Jefferson led the Cats through Denver in an exciting hard fought win decided late by big plays in key moments.  Jefferson matched his season high of 35 points and chipped in 11 rebounds while matching a Bobcats franchise record for his 10th consecutive game over 20 points.  The Cats were able to find  the consistent offense needed throughout the game from Jefferson while getting another defensive gem of a performance from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.  MKG came up with a timely block at the rim with 2 seconds remaining as the Nuggets attempted to tie the game; one of many great defensive plays the sophomore wing player exhibited throughout the evening’s contest.

The Cats will look to continue their success as they make the next stop of their west coast road trip in LA on Friday.  Hope remains that Kemba Walker could return to the lineup Friday night from an ankle injury sustained a couple weeks go, though Saturday in Phoenix seems more likely.
