Drake admits to drunk texting Jennifer Lopez in new track

There are some standard-issue Drizzy tracks in the mix.

But what's most invigorating about the release is its startling scope.

After months of waiting on pins and needles, Drake's More Life album is finally here! On it, Drake's smooth vocals are carefully layered beneath light keys and a chilly, tropical beat. In fact, it's the biggest, most ambitious, most global Drake album since 2011's Take Care, a grand tour of black music and culture in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom. From a long tracklist to boring songs, many hip-hop fans had begun to turn their back on the "Controlla" rapper.

"According to Drake, he designed the 21-track" playlist" concept in order to free himself from the constraints of the traditional mixtape format.

Drake is more than happy to share the spotlight on More Life.

As for More Life, check back at 6 p.m. EST for a complete track rundown, Twitter reactions, and more.

The eighth track, "4422", is entirely by Sampha and a breath of fresh air, with not a single word from Drake. "Get It Together" isn't so much a duet with Jorja Smith as it is a Jorja Smith song with a side of Drake. Drake takes advantage of the newest trap wave, including Quavo, Travis Scott, Young Thug, and 2Chainz.

Skepta is just one of the British artists featured on Drake's "More Life". United Kingdom rapper Giggs, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Sampha and the long awaited Kanye feature were my personal favorites. / I heard from your friend you couldn't even tell me / or better yet wait on me ... do I get an invitation or something?

The subtitle of More Life is A Playlist by October Firm, a nod to the fact this isn't Drake's true follow-up to Views. "There's real ones around me", he raps on the slick closer, "Do Not Disturb".

Not only does the playlist, which features the likes of contributors such as Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie and Kanye West, have two references to JLo, one of them hints he drunk texted her.
