Dwyane Wade Will Miss The Remainder of The Season With Fractured Elbow

Dwyane Wade Will Miss The Remainder of The Season With Fractured Elbow

Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade will miss the rest of the season with a fractured right elbow.

Wade's injury occurred during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies when his arm got twisted during a play between Grizzlies big man Zach Randolph and a couple of his teammates. He was wearing a sling in the Bulls' locker room after the game. Over his last five games, Valentine has averaged 9.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals and 2.6 triples. The team now has a 32-36 record, which has the Bulls sitting in the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference, a game behind the Detroit Pistons, which holds the eighth and final playoff spot in the standings. The 12-time All-Star is scheduled for an MRI Thursday morning.

"I tried to play through it a little bit until the pain started getting a little bit more excruciating".

That figures to be a final blow to a team that has been in the midst of a full unraveling in the past two weeks.

Doctors will re-evaluate the injury and Wade's rehab in a week, the report stated. His -2.2 nERD for the season is tied for third-worst on the Bulls. He's never played 80 games in a season in his career, missing a combined 81 games over the past four seasons.

Wade, 35, still has one more season on the two-year, $47.5 million deal that he inked with the Bulls last July.

Chicago is lacking in true shooting guards, which means Rajon Rondo and Michael Carter-Williams may be forced to see the court together often in Wade's absence. "I don't think everybody knew exactly what happened". And as they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and I'm a strong mofo, so I want to thank everybody again.

Fantasy basketball owners who had held on to Wade are going to take the hardest hit, as his injury is taking place during most head-to-head league playoffs.

What it looks like for the Bulls is anybody's guess, as they're 10th in the East, a game back of Detroit with one meeting left.
