Emotions Boil Over Into Violence At Berkeley Pro-Trump Rally

"President Trump's been doing exactly what he said he was going to do", but has been treated differently than past presidents, including Barack Obama, he said.

Similar scenes played out all over the U.S.as supporters expressed why they have faith in the billionaire-turned president. The local gatherings were all peaceful.

Japharii Jones, President of Black Lives Matter 757, and other protestors gathered at the rally at Mount Trasmore to voice their opinions against Trump. Another read: "Yes he is our president". In Manhattan, a couple hundred supporters gathered in front of Trump's eponymous tower and chanted "U-S-A" and held signs reminding Americans that "yes, he is our president". Near Mar-a-Lago, the Palm Beach Post reported that people on both sides exchanged profanity. Trump's motorcade briefly stopped so he could wave at supporters. The Feb. 1 speaking engagement was cancelled by authorities after more than 100 masked people threw rocks, broke windows and set fires outside the university's student union building.

BPD released a Nixle alert about 3:34 p.m., in which it advised the public that the demonstration had begun marching on Allston Way, heading eastbound toward the UC Berkeley campus.

These groups take "advantage of the legitimate protesters to destroy things and emphasize their anarchist roots", David Gomez, a former senior Federal Bureau of Investigation counterterrorism official in Seattle, told The Post. Officers stopped a few attempts by some protesters to push their way into the pro-Trump rally, according to co-organizer Steve Gill.

One person was hit on the head in the melee and another one had teeth knocked out, White said, adding that police made one arrest.

Before the protesters arrived, Greeley resident Samuel Adams said he supported people's right to respectfully protest.

Spirit of America - also known as "March 4 Trump" - rallies took place in communities in an estimated 28 of the US's 50 states.

"I feel that every American that voted for Trump has been deceived". Draped in a Trump/Pence flag, Castro said she would like to see the media spend more time covering the president's allegations of Obama's wrongdoings.

"Securing our border that's a real big thing on my mind and tax relief also." says rally supporter Ron Rockwell, " I think he's getting a lot done the first hundred days".

Meanwhile, six people protesting against a railly in St Paul, Minnesota, were arrested on felony riot charges after they lit fireworks inside the Minnesota State Capitol. (Kevin J. Beaty/Denverite) Anti-Trump protester Cooper Carrington is lead away from the rally by a Denver police officer.

Berkeley police said they arrested 10 people: five for battery, four for assault with a deadly weapon and one for resisting arrest.
