Sign him up! Neville would give Ibrahimovic two-year deal at United

Ibrahimovic scored 23 goals in two seasons with Juve, winning his first Serie A title in Turin before moving to Inter in 2006.

Ibrahimovic played under the Spaniard at Barcelona for only one season in 2009/2010, but their relationship soured and the striker had to leave for AC Milan.

Ibrahimovic has yet to put pen to paper on a 12-month extension to his contract at Old Trafford amid interest from Major League Soccer in America.

Ibrahimovic, 35, joined United on a one-year contract in the summer with an option for a second year, but that has yet to be triggered and the striker's agent, Mino Raiola, has made several references to his client's love for Naples over the last year. Ultimately, it's how Mourinho manages him over a two-year period because he wants to play every match.

Ibrahimovic insisted: "You never know but I'm happy here (at United) - let's just wait and see what happens".

Despite wanting the forward to stay, United are preparing for life without him.

'The reality is, I'm not quite sure that will be able to happen as he continues to get a little bit older'.

Ibrahimovic is, however, available to play against Rostov in the Europa League on Thursday.

Discussing the positives and negatives of Rashford's reduced game time in 2016-17, eight-time Premier League victor Neville said: "He is not getting overplayed, he is able to learn at a more calm pace". It was a talismanic display from a player who has always relished the limelight. There is going to be ups and downs and inconsistency.

"It's good that they're not relying upon him in every single game, but in some ways he needs to stand up and take the opportunity".
