Sports Yaya Toure to Join Manchester United

The agent of Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure, has spoken about the possibility of the Ivorian joining Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.

Guardiola has previously said contract matters will be dealt with at the end of the season, but Seluk says there is no guarantee Toure won't have agreed a deal with another team by then. "I've talked with clubs from Spain and Italy as well". "Zlatan Ibrahimovic was together with Yaya in Barcelona", Seluk was quoted as saying by Eurosport.

In my first press conference, I told the media I come to City to achieve, to make a story and to be a big part of this club.

The 33-year-old Manchester City midfielder has struggled for game-time under Pep Guardiola this term and is expected to move on from the Etihad at the end of the campaign.

Toure was frozen out of Pep Guardiola's plans at the start of the season because of comments made by Seluk and his latest outburst will have done little to help an already fragile season. "We know what we want, the fans as well, the club, the chairman, and what I have to do is my best, try to achieve everything and to help this club for as long as possible".

But after City were heavily criticised in the wake of the Monaco loss, Toure disagrees with suggestions they will not be able to win trophies under Guardiola's free-flowing style.

"I said to Manchester City that we will start negotiations with other clubs about the future of Yaya. But we can not wait until the last minute".

The Manchester City star's contract runs out this summer.
