Game one of the NBA Finals had a little bit of everything. Big leads, big runs to cut those leads and big performances from the two best players in the game.

LeBron James dropped 30 and nine, while Kevin Durant poured in 36 and eight.

Russell Westbrook outplayed Dwayne Wade, but Chris Bosh (barely) outplayed James Harden.

If you took a look at the box score from some of the other players, though, you’d think the game would’ve swung the Heat’s way.

Shane Battier scored 17 points. Mario Chalmers had 12 points and six assists.

Kendrick Perkins only had four points and seven rebounds. James Harden only had five points and three assists.

But, Durant and Westbrook were just too good.

Serge Ibaka was Bosh’s equal.

After the second half started, Miami just couldn’t hang with the Thunder.

Colin Cowherd called it. As much as I hate to admit it, that pompous, elitist (or traditionalist as he calls himself) front-runner called it. “105-95 Thunder” he said (one point off. Nostradamus wasn’t exactly right all the time). “Miami would be worn out” he predicted.

Well he was right.

Only time will tell if his final prediction was right. “Game one won’t look like the rest of the series.”

In my opinion, game one will, for the most part, look like the rest of the series.

The Thunder are the team that will win “not one, not two…”

The Thunder are ready for this.

Last night proved it.
